FAQ2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals FAQ’s Q: What are the spike requirements for the meet? All athletes must use only pyramid spikes that are no longer than 1/4-inch (7mm) in length, except for high jump and javelin where 3/8-inch (9mm) or lesser spike may be used. Q: An athlete has met the automatic standard for Emerging Elite (EE) and the Provisional Standard for the Championship division. Which division should I choose? A: If you want to guarantee your athlete’s spot, enter them in the EE division. If you prefer they only be considered for the Championship division and not EE, enter them in Championship. Athletes cannot be entered in multiple divisions. Q: When and where will entry lists be released? A: Entry lists are posted HERE. Heat sheets will be posted HERE and sent out to all participants via athletic.net on Tuesday, June 17th. Q: How do I enter using an alternate qualifying event? A: Leave the seed mark section blank. In the notes section of the entry page, include the seed mark, the alternate qualifier event, and a link to the qualifying results. Q: Should I wait for my athlete to achieve a better mark before entering them? A: No, enter the athlete as soon as they meet the standard. Each event has entry limits, and we expect them to fill up. Marks can be updated anytime until registration closes. Athletes already confirmed in one division can move to a higher division if space allows. Q: What if my athlete improves their mark after being accepted? A: Coaches or athletes must update marks in the registration system as soon as possible. Updates will not be accepted after the registration deadline. Q: My athlete has achieved a provisional time. When will I know if they are accepted? Q: Can I run a relay with athletes from other high schools? Q: I registered as unattached but now want to join a team/club for a relay. Can I switch? Q: Are cross-country times allowed for qualifying for the 5,000? Q: Can my athlete be entered unattached in one event and as a part of a team in another event? A: Athletes must submit all entries under one single affiliation: High School, Club, or Unattached. If you plan to compete with a team, or on a relay, please submit an entry as either High School or Club, not Unattached. Switches from unattached to team attached will not be accommodated. If you have a separate team and unattached bios and you need to merge them, please follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Q: Is there a coaching box for field events? A: There is no on-field coaches box for any field event. Q: How does my athlete get invited to the Shot Put Showcase? A: Invitations to the Shot Put Showcase are extended by our team to athletes based on their performance in the Championship shot put. Athletes who are top seeds just before the close of entries will be contacted first. Additionally, athletes who finish in top positions at the conclusion of the Championship shot put may also receive invitations. The Showcase will feature 8 boys and 8 girls, with final selections made at the discretion of meet management. Q: Do I need to bring my own starting blocks to NON? A: No. Starting blocks will be provided on site at Hayward Field. |
