Eastern Regional NJ junior Natalie Dumas sits down with DyeStat's Keenan Gray on the latest episode of DyeStat Discussions to talk about achieving a remarkable triple at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor June 19-22 at Franklin Field.

In a span of three days, Dumas won the girls 400-meter hurdles (55.99), the open 400 (51.14) and the 800 (2:00.11), completing one of the most unprecedented triples not only in high school history, but world history, too.

In this episode, Dumas goes on to talk about her start up in track, which includes her family's background in the sport, how her parents were successful in college and how she followed in the footsteps of her older sister who's currently running at the University of Delaware.

Dumas, formerly a soccer player, breaks down how she navigated track through her first couple of seasons in high school and how she became an immediate impact on her school's team, leading her to winning her first state title in the 400 hurdles her sophomore year. She also won her first national title at New Balance Nationals Outdoor that same season in the 400 hurdles.

Heading into her junior year, Dumas talked about joining cross country in the fall and how that has helped her progress in track, leading to breakout performances in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Dumas reflects on her decision to run three races at nationals, which she also did at the New Jersey Meet of Champions, and how her winning mindset and determination guided her to winning all three races in Philadelphia.
