Media Credential Request

Media seeking credentials to cover the NIKE OUTDOOR NATIONALS and/or USATF U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Credentials are granted to authorized working media representatives only. Credentials are not transferable. Media credential application.

Media must first complete the Media Credential Application at this LINK no later than Friday, June 6, 2025, by 11:59 pm ET.

Additionally, all credentialed media acknowledge and agree to act with conduct befitting the nature of the meet within its junior high and high school athlete context.  Any who violate this code of conduct will have their credentials revoked and will be required to leave the premises.

Media seeking credentials must also comply with USATF media terms and conditions.

Confirmation of Credentials

All applicants will receive an email confirming or denying their application.

Media Will Call

Credentials can be picked up at Packet Pickup.  

Media must present a photo ID to receive credentials. 

Terms and Conditions

Media Credential(s) is/are issued to an accredited organization for the purpose of providing event access to a designated individual who is providing media service and/or legitimate journalistic functions in connection with the NIKE OUTDOOR NATIONALS and/or USATF U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Bearers of media credentials may access all areas of the stadium, except the infield. Photographers have on-field access as indicated by the designation on their credentials.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge the following:

  • You have reviewed the USATF’s MAAPP, which outlines acceptable standards for one-on-one interactions, social media engagement, photography/videography, and other forms of contact with Minor Athletes.
  • You understand your responsibility to report any known or suspected misconduct involving minors or violations of the MAAPP. Reports can be submitted to:
  • As a credentialed individual, you are subject to the jurisdiction of both USATF and the U.S. Center for SafeSport. This means that any alleged violations of Safe Sport policies may result in investigation, sanctions, or loss of access privileges, including the revocation of media credentials.

NSAF and USATF expect all credentialed media to foster a safe and respectful environment for all athletes. Failure to adhere to Safe Sport policies may result in the removal of credentials and additional action, as deemed appropriate.

Video Recording and Webcasting

Except as otherwise authorized in writing by Event Management, no video recording device shall be allowed in the stands of the facility, or in any area with sight lines of the track and/or field of competition, unless such permission has been specifically granted. Except as otherwise authorized in writing by Event Management, no video recording, broadcast- real-time or delayed, or webcast is permitted.

Commercial Still Photography

The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation prohibits the sale of photographs from its events, and will not credential any photographers whose photos will be used for any purpose other than media coverage.

Video Recording & Usage Policy

To maintain the integrity and rights of all participants, the following policy governs the use of video footage recorded at Nike Outdoor Nationals:

1. Competition Footage Usage Restrictions
No video recording of competition footage longer than two (2) seconds and a total of 90 seconds per day of race footage  may be posted to social media platforms or used for any commercial purpose without prior written authorization from meet management. 

2. Definition of Competition
For the purpose of this policy, "competition" is defined as any time athletes are present on the competition arena, which includes but is not limited to the track, runways, circles, pits, and infield areas during warm-ups, introductions, or active competition.
This definition does not include the mixed zone, interview areas, concourse, or other locations outside the competition surface.

3. Authorization Requirement
All requests for the use of competition footage beyond the stated limits must be submitted in writing and approved prior to any posting or distribution. This includes requests from media outlets, teams, athletes, and commercial entities.

4. Enforcement
Violation of this policy may result in the removal of content, revocation of credentials, or other actions deemed necessary by meet officials.

Violations

Violation of any of the above conditions, including improper or unauthorized entry into restricted areas, may result in revocation of credentials for the Event and barring of the Bearer or Accredited Organization from future NSAF events. Restricted areas shall include, but are not limited to: Competition Field.

The Accredited Organization and the Bearer assume all risks incident to attending the Event. The Accredited Organization and the Bearer hereby release the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation, Inc. from, any and all loss, cost, damages, settlement, fine or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of suit, arising from any claim, action, government procedure, or suit arising out of the Event. Further, the Accredited Organization and the Bearer hereby agree that the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, special, consequential, exemplary or incidental damages. The Accredited Organization assumes all risks and liabilities for the actions of all those individuals bearing credentials under its Organizational name. Furthermore, the Accredited Organization offers assurances that individuals bearing credentials under its name have undergone background security screening or otherwise pose no reasonable security risk to athletes, event organizers, or any other persons at the 2025 NIKE OUTDOOR NATIONALS or USATF U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS.
